Sports Bar host Jason Cundy tried his best to stay impartial when Arsenal crashed out of the Europa League… not.
Nope, quite the opposite, in fact.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham defender just couldn’t contain his excitement and pleasure as he watched the Gunners suffer an embarrassing exit at the hands of Olympiakos on Thursday night – AT HOME.
Arsenal looked in control of their round of 32 clash when they came away from Greece with a 1-0 away victory last week.
But a goal from Pape Abou Cisse forced extra-time and while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the hosts back in front with fine scissor kick, the captain also missed a glaring chance as the Greeks scored again to seal their place in the last-16 on away goals.
Mikel Arteta said he and his players are ‘hurting big time’, but there were no signs of any hurting at talkSPORT Towers on Thursday night with Cundy in the house.
The former Chelsea and Spurs man was actually live on air when Olympiakos scored their extra-time winner and, well, it’s fair to say he enjoyed it.
Maybe a little too much – much to the annoyance of Sports Breakfast host and Gunners fan Laura Woods on Friday morning.
Check out Cundy’s reaction in the video below…
But the Sports Bar boys were not done there, no sir.
Later that evening they were joined by talkSPORT reporter and Arsenal fan Jordan Bryan, and couldn’t help but rub his nose in his side’s misfortune.
And they might, might, have taken this a bit too far as well, as Jordan walked out of the studio.
You mean, mean boys.
