The third major of 2021 enters the weekend, and after a bit of a hiccup ahead of the first round, the 2021 U.S. Open is off and running at a blistering pace. Round 3 action at Torrey Pines begins Saturday with a stacked leaderboard hoping to make a move on co-leaders Richard Bland and Russell Henley. They do call it “Moving Day,” after all.
Despite the 36-hole cut taking out some notable names, this year’s affair in La Jolla, California, features a loaded field with most of the best golfers in the world in attendance and many still in contention. Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka are among a cavalcade of names within five shots of the lead entering Saturday.
