Lets get this out of the way: the Braves bullpen has not been good this year. The guys that were expected to shoulder the high leverage situations have been largely uneven and/or dinged up at best and the inning eater types have let winnable games become very unwinnable very quickly. You will not find anyone making any other case here.
However, there is a case for optimism with Chris Martin back in the fold and presumably healthy and with Shane Greene set to join the bullpen after a few appearances in Gwinnett. That said, it appears that the Braves are still looking for potential depth options at reliever.
The #Braves today acquired RHP Yoan López from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for OF Deivi Estrada and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Fun fact: Yoan Lopez has not been very good in 2021 (-0.3 rWAR, 6.57 ERA) although he was decent back in 2019 for those that are feeling optimistic. An even more fun fact: if you are looking for the Diamondbacks prospect that hit Dansby Swanson in the face with a pitch during his pro debut (with plenty of rumors floating out there that he did so on purpose), then look no further than Mr. Lopez.
In exchange, the Braves send outfielder Deivi Estrada to Arizona. Estrada is a 20 year old international signee from back in 2017 who had a pretty decent 2019 season down in the Dominican Summer League, but seems to be more of a flyer, lottery ticket type than anything else.
