CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns are set to take on the Houston Texans in their home opener at FirstEnergy Stadium. Plenty of former Browns will take the field for a 1 p.m. kickoff, including quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
The Texans (1-0) beat Jacksonville in Week 1 by forcing rookie quarterback Trevor Lawerence into three interceptions. Houston ran it 37 times for over 100 yards. Mark Ingram led all rushers with 26 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Odell Beckham Jr. and tackle Chris Hubbard are out. Malcolm Smith will start at middle linebacker for the injured Anthony Walker. The Browns placed Walker on injured reserve on Friday after he hurt his hamstring at Thursday’s practice.
Left tackle Jedrick Wills will start despite entering Sunday as questionable with an ankle injury.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Follow along for live updates from FirstEnergy Stadium.
