Mario Gotze is poised to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, according to reports in Germany.
Bild claim the 27-year-old will not extend his contract with the Bundesliga giants, despite being offered fresh terms.
The attacking midfielder therefore looks set to become a free agent – and he certainly won’t be short of admirers.

One of those is his former Dortmund boss, Jurgen Klopp, who tried signing the Germany international when he rejoined his current employers from Bayern Munich in 2016.
“I decided to leave Bayern and Jurgen Klopp was interested in getting me to Liverpool,” said Gotze in the 2018 documentary, Being Mario Gotze. “And I was also interested in working with him again.
“It’s still existing. He is a world-class coach and that’s why it’s always an option.
“I decided to join Borussia Dortmund, but it was not a decision against Liverpool or Jurgen Klopp. But on the contrary.”

Deciding to turn down Liverpool in 2016 may not have ended the chances of Gotze joining the Reds, however, with rumours suggesting he could be on his way to Anfield this summer when his BVB contract expires.
There have been no official reports confirming Klopp’s interest in his former player, but Gotze remains in constant contact with the coach who ‘taught him everything’ in the early stages of his career.
“I’m still in touch with Jurgen,” Gotze told DAZN. “At that time, I was just 17 and coming up from the youth team.
“He taught me everything about professional football. He let me play. I often speak to Klopp. We never stopped talking.
“He knows me very well and that I am always looking for new challenges.”
It remains to be seen where Gotze will eventually end up, but one thing is for sure – a potential reunion with Klopp definitely can’t be ruled out.
