Monterrey coach Antonio Mohamed has accused Jurgen Klopp of being ‘disrespectful’ in an expletive-laden rant following the pair’s touchline bust-up during their Club World Cup semi-final.

Liverpool overcame the Mexican side thanks to Roberto Firmino’s last-gasp winner, before beating Flamengo in the final to be crowned world champions.

But during the pair’s semi-final clash in December, Klopp and Mohamed were embroiled in a furious spat on the touchline.

The Reds boss contested a number of decisions made by referee Roberto Tobar, none more so than when Mohamed called for Joe Gomez to receive a second yellow.

The German was far from happy with Mohamed’s pleas, and snapped back by gesturing an imaginary card in his direction.

And that didn’t go down well with the 49-year-old, who has since launched an extraordinary attack on Klopp.

“What happened is that I was disrespected,” Mohamed told Enganche. “[Klopp] kept asking for yellow cards because he said we were hitting [Mohamed] Salah all the time.

“Then when I asked for a card to expel one of their players, he stuck his tongue out at me like a p*ssy.

“When I saw him, I laughed at first and then I got a little angry and rose to his bait – then my neighbourhood came out and I lost all elegance and composure.

“If I have to tell you what I said to him… I can’t even remember, because I thought if I swear at him in English I won’t be myself.

“So I think I said to him: ‘Your f***ing mother’s c***, who have you been f***ing? Q****’.”

Firmino’s winner came in the dying stages of a close match, with Monterrey cancelling out Liverpool’s early opener through Rogelio Funes Mori.

Brazil ace Firmino also scored the only goal of the game in the final, against Flamengo from his homeland, to put the cherry on top Liverpool’s remarkable 2019.
