Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones suggested it was unfair of Graeme Souness to criticise Paul Pogba on Sunday.
Pogba moved to Old Trafford for a world-record fee in August 2016 but he’s struggled to replicate the same form he did at previous club Juventus.
He’s arguably the most divisive player in the Premier League and Souness is someone who’s never held back from criticising Pogba’s attitude.
The Frenchman dropped a huge hint about his desire to leave United last summer, indicating he was ready for a ‘new challenge’.
Pogba has only made seven appearances for the Red Devils all season having nursed an ankle injury for much of 2019/20.
Ahead of United’s Premier League clash at Everton, which Pogba isn’t available for, Souness called the player’s professionalism into question.

Souness was initially reluctant to talk about Pogba as he’s often rebuked for the way he criticises the 26-year-old.
But alongside United legend Roy Keane, who is also sceptical of Pogba, Souness had another pop.
He said: “Maybe Man United should be looking at the medical staff at Everton. They got [Andre] Gomes back in a fraction of the time in what would appear to be a far worse injury.
“Now I know I’m jumping in here and all the medics will be jumping up and down but it’s just the cynic in me.
“I see Paul Pogba dancing at a wedding, I see him shooting hoops…and just the cynic in me suggests that he doesn’t want to be at Man United.
Keane then piped up, saying: “I think he was at a fashion show…
Souness then added: “How can you not want to play? How can you NOT want to play for Man United if that’s the case?”
The Sky Sports presenter then intervened and said: “We can’t just criticise Paul Pogba even when he’s not playing, Graeme!”
United have been in decent form lately having not lost in their last five matches and are well in the hunt to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They’re currently drawing 1-1 at Everton, Bruno Fernandes cancelling out Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fortuitous opener.
