Police in Maryland announced the arrest of a youth sports coach involving child sexual assault and pornography. And authorities are concerned the suspect may have additional victims in York County, Pennsylvania.”We know through these types of investigations and the information that we received from York County and the disclosures from our victim that there’s a likelihood that there could be victims in York County,” Carroll County Sheriff James DeWees said at a Thursday morning news conference.The suspect is Michael Bonczewski, 38, from Baltimore County. He is charged with the following:Sexual abuse of a minor, three countsContinuing course of conduct with a child, three countsSexual solicitation of a minorChild pornography”At this time, there is one known victim. However, due to the number of youth organizations Bonczewski has been associated with over the years, detectives are concerned there may be more victims that have not yet come forward,” a statement from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said.Police said the victim was 13 years old when the abuse began and it occurred 150 to 200 separate times. Police said Bonczewski volunteered as a football and lacrosse coach for numerous teams.
