Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has declared that he would be willing to promote a boxing match between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy for charity.
Social media erupted on Wednesday afternoon when Rooney claimed information from her private Instagram account was being leaked to the tabloids by Vardy’s account.
Following the allegation by Rooney – who told her 1.2 million Twitter followers that she had spent five months working out who was sharing stories based on her personal social media posts – Vardy said she ‘never’ speaks to journalists about her.
“I must say, I did find that fascinating this morning,” Hearn told iFL TV.
“I love Coleen Rooney, the way she wrote it out. I was like, ‘Well, obviously she’s not gonna say and it’s just a mate.’
“And it was, ‘It’s……….. Rebekah Vardy.”
When asked if he’d promote a match-up between the pair should they want to settle their differences in the ring, Hearn was initially hesitant, but then replied: “For Sport Relief I would, for charity.
“Do you know what? They’d probably be quite decent as well.
“That’d be massive, wouldn’t it? How many [pay-per-view] buys?”
