Like the rest of us, it seems Cristiano Ronaldo has spent his time off binge-watching The Last Dance on Netflix.
The highly-acclaimed docuseries, which chronicles Michael Jordan’s extraordinary career with the Chicago Bulls, has given sports fans worldwide a newly-found appreciation of basketball.
And Ronaldo, the most high-profile footballer in the world, is no exception – channelling his inner MJ at Juventus training by producing an incredible trick shot.
In a video shared on social media, the 35-year-old showed no sign of rust following a lengthy lay-off by flicking a football into a basketball net with his right foot from distance.
Of course, Ronaldo let out his trademark ‘Siuu’ celebration and others nearby cheered with delight, while Juventus captioned the video: ‘As easy as you like, Cristiano!’
Serie A players returned to training last Monday, with the Italian top-flight keen to resume in mid-June.
While Ronaldo appears a fan of The Last Dance, Jordan’s former Chicago Bulls teammates aren’t so keen.
Horace Grant has publicly questioned the accuracy of the ‘so-called documentary’, while Scottie Pippen is said to be livid with his portrayal.
Nonetheless, ex-Bull BJ Armstrong insists we should be focusing on the outstanding success of an extraordinary team instead.
He told talkSPORT 2: “The one thing I could say about those guys that I played with – Horace [Grant], Scottie [Pippen], Michael [Jordan] – we had a great team.
“Those things, whatever happened, so be it. The one thing I want to say is it’s all over now. We’ve got family, we’ve got kids.
“It was a great time and we never realised we would win multiple Championships. Those are great times and nothing can take that away.”
