Charlton Athletic’s majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer has won his war against Matt Southall by having the chairman removed from his post.
The Championship club confirmed on Friday the former agent had left The Valley and new board members have been appointed in his place.
It comes after a two week row between Nimer and Southall which appears to have finally come to an end.
Southall has left his role as chairman and director Jonathan Heller has also departed.
In their place, Bucharest-based Marian Mihail and Claudiu Florica have joined the club as directors.
A statement from Nimer read: “I am pleased to be able to appoint Claudiu and Marian to the Board so that Charlton can move forward.
Lawyer of Charlton’s majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer give talkSPORT an update on his war with chairman Matt Southall
“It has been a difficult few weeks for everyone involved at the football club and this is a positive step in the right direction.
“Our priority now is stabilising the short-term future of the football club in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis and working with the EFL to get the club’s transfer embargo lifted to demonstrate our long-term commitment to Charlton Athletic.”
