Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo scores in ninth consecutive Serie A game with brace against Fiorentina
Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the ninth consecutive Serie A game as Juventus secured a 3-0 win over Fiorentina on Sunday.
The 34-year-old netted a brace to bag his 19th league goal of the season.
Ronaldo converted two penalties either side of half-time, before Matthijs de Ligt completed the rout in injury-time.
The Portugal forward is six strikes away from catching Serie A’s top scorer Ciro Immobile, who scored twice against basement boys SPAL on the same day.
Juventus’ win moved Maurizio Sarri’s men six points clear of title rivals Inter Milan, who travel to Udinese on Sunday night.
A victory for Inter will cut the gap at the top to just three points.
