Florida State‘s 2022 recruiting class currently sits at No. 9 in the country and No. 1 in the ACC midway through the month of August.

The ‘Noles aren’t done however and one of their top remaining targets is not far off from deciding. Four-star wide receiver Jaleel Skinner announced via Twitter Tuesday afternoon that he will make his college commitment on October 9.

Skinner, who recently transferred to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, visited Tallahassee to start the month of June and enjoyed his time around the FSU coaches on that trip.

“Just getting to hang out with coach [Mike] Norvell,” Skinner stated regarding the best portion of the FSU visit. “He’s a cool dude. His energy, same with coach [Ron] Dugans, both of them are my guys. They’re both real, genuine and passionate about what they do.”

Miami, Alabama, Clemson, Texas and Florida all got Skinner on their campuses during the month of June as well. His last official visit will be to Florida State for their home opener against Notre Dame on September 5.

Skinner checks in as the No. 73 prospect and No. tight end in the country according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
