The Giants, it would seem, concluded their initial round of interviews Monday. Now, they likely will be trimming their list of nine candidates to several finalists.

So let’s recap what happened Monday and look ahead to what’s coming Tuesday.

Keep it right here Tuesday for all your live updates from the Giants’ GM search.

• The Giants interviewed the 49ers’ Ran Carthon and Adam Peters on Monday, via video chat — which is how this initial round of interviews has been entirely conducted. All nine of the Giants’ known candidates have been interviewed.

• So what’s next? Probably in-person interviews with finalists. But the Giants face competition for some of their candidates. Four of them have interest from other GM-needy teams. (More on that below.)

• The Raiders fired Mike Mayock on Monday, joining that group of GM-needy teams. The Giants, of course, were already in it, along with the Bears and Vikings. All three of those teams also need a new head coach. The Raiders might, too, if they decide to not retain interim coach Rich Bisaccia. Mayock’s firing probably doesn’t bode well for him.

• While Bisaccia will get an interview with the Raiders, they have begun their coaching search. So now eight teams officially are in the hunt for a coach — Giants, Raiders, Bears, Vikings, Dolphins, Texans, Jaguars, and Broncos. Half them need a new GM, too.

• OK, so which Giants GM candidates have interest from other teams? (The Giants aren’t going to launch their coaching search until they hire a GM, by the way.)

These are the four …

Joe Schoen, Bills assistant GM — also interviewed with Bears

Ryan Poles, Chiefs executive director of player personnel — Vikings and Bears also interested, but hasn’t interviewed with either

Monti Ossenfort, Titans director of player personnel — also interviewed with Vikings and Bears

Ran Carthon, 49ers director of player personnel — Bears also interested, but hasn’t interviewed with them yet

And these are the Giants’ five other candidates …

Adrian Wilson, Cardinals vice president of pro personnel

Quentin Harris, Cardinals vice president of player personnel

Ryan Cowden, Titans vice president of player personnel

Joe Hortiz, Ravens director of player personnel

Adam Peters, 49ers assistant GM
