The Reds can seal their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win over Atalanta at Anfield
Jurgen Klopp has a number of selection dilemmas for Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Atalanta. A win for the Reds at Anfield, would see them secure their progression to the last-16 with two games to spare.
The win would also mean Klopp could rest a number of his key first-teamers in the final two group games.
Klopp has been particularly outspoken about the hectic fixture schedule, with several players suffering injuries.
Liverpool beat Leicester City in the league on Sunday, but could look to make some changes for the meeting with Italians.
And ahead of the Group D fixture, Klopp has hinted that Takumi Minamino could be in line for a start in the near future.
Minamino, who signed for the champions back in January has played just 56 minutes in the Premier League, with most of his opportunities coming in the EFL Cup
The red-hot form of Diogo Jota has pushed the former RB Salzburg even further down the pecking order.
But after a couple of “exceptional” showings at their new AXA training facility, Klopp has said his time will come.
“There is no dip in form. Taki is training well, yesterday he was exceptional for example,” Klopp said.
