Manchester United vs Chelsea is a mouth-watering clash to see on the first weekend of the Premier League season.
It is a tough first competitive match for new Blues boss Frank Lampard who has to travel to Old Trafford.
His job of getting his side ready for the new campaign was made all the harder by losing star man Eden Hazard and not being able to sign any players due to a transfer ban.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added the trio of Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James but fans were perhaps expecting more arrivals during the window.
Here at talkSPORT.com, we have all the latest team news and look at the likely line-ups for Sunday’s 4.30pm kick-off.
Manchester United
All three new Manchester United signings are available for the match with Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka the most likely to make their Premier League debuts for the club.
Youngster Mason Greenwood impressed in pre-season and could see some minutes, especially with Romelu Lukaku leaving to join Inter Milan.
The main injury concerns are long-term ones, with Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah both out, while Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to feature as he is still a few weeks behind the rest of the squad following his recovery from injury.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV: “Yeah, Harry is ready to play. I am sure he will put himself up, when I ask him on Sunday morning, if he is available, because he has played many games for Leicester over the pre-season.
“He has trained well and he has looked sharp when he has been here.
“You do have players that you think are going to make an impact and Mason Greenwood’s pathway would have been a lot more difficult, of course, if we had another forward there. So, for me, I believe that Mason’s going to be playing and involved a lot, and, when he is, he’ll score goals.”
Chelsea
A late decision will be made by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard on whether N’Golo Kante is ready to face Manchester United.
There are still question marks about Willian and Antonio Rudiger and if they will be ready for the Old Trafford showdown.
Christian Pulisic could make his first Premier League start for the club while Mason Mount would be making his first competitive Blues appearance if selected.
“We have Kante fit, but if he’s match fit is a question I will have to decide right up until the end,” Lampard said.
“Everyone else is pretty much fit. We have the ones we know are outstanding. Willian is working to be fit and it’s probably come slightly too soon for him. Possibly Rudiger the same, but he has been training with us for a few days now. That’s for me to gauge over the next 24, 48 hours until Sunday.
“I know the squad we have got, I pretty much know where we are going. We have trained well, so we’re there.”
