The Italian spent just one season at Stamford Bridge after joining from Napoli last summer
Maurizio Sarri has been appointed Juventus manager after just one season at Stamford Bridge.
It was a turbulent year at Chelsea, but one that ended with a third place Premier League finish and victory in the Europa League final against Arsenal.
Sarri may not have endeared himself to the Blues fans, however it was a promising first season.
Chelsea will be in for a tough season with a new manager and having to cope without Eden Hazard as well as a transfer ban.
At Juventus, Sarri will have a different set of issues to contend with.
He is moving to a club who have won eight consecutive Serie A titles and have one of the best players of all-time in Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Italian will be tasked with winning the Champions League, though, as that is the trophy the club most covet with their last success in 1992.
They have lost five of the seven finals they have been involved in.
Chelsea agree deal for Maurizio Sarri to join Juventus
Firstly, here is a look at what signings the Italian club could make under Sarri.
One player who is already joining the Turin-based side is Aaron Ramsey. He arrives on a free transfer from Arsenal next month once his contract expires.
There are also a number of players Juve have been linked to as possible targets in the summer.
This includes Paul Pogba, who they sold to Manchester United for a world record transfer fee in 2016.
The Frenchman would cost them just as much, if not more, than they sold him for but he was a proven talent with the Serie A side.
They have also been linked with a possible move for Mauro Icardi who has been rumoured with leaving Inter Milan this summer.
Another of Sarri’s favourites is Jorginho who he brought to Chelsea from Napoli. Juve could bring the Italian midfielder in and build the team around him, as the manager planned to do at Stamford Bridge.
Gonzalo Higuain is already contracted to Juventus but has spent the last season on loan. First with AC Milan and then with Sarri at Chelsea.
It is likely he would be brought back into the fold at the club with the Italian in charge.
He could also be looking for new left-back and may try to sign Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri who played 27 games under Sarri last season.
Here at talkSPORT.com we have taken a look at how they could line-up under their new manager.
4-3-3
This is a formation that Sarri favoured at Chelsea with a flat back four and Jorginho just in front of the defence.
Ramsey and Pogba could then sit ahead of the defensive midfielder to provide the creativity for the forwards.
In attack, the manager could deploy a front three of Ronaldo, Higuain and Paulo Dybala, depending on if he remains at the club.
4-3-1-2
In this set up, it would be very similar to the 4-3-3 but with Ramsey and Pogba playing slightly wider.
That would mean Cristiano Ronaldo pushed into a No.10 role in order to accommodate the two strikers, in this instance they would be Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain.
The main task for Sarri is how to accommodate all his front men as most prefer to play through the middle rather than out wide.
Paulo Dybala has been sidelined at the club because the signing of Ronaldo has seen him pushed out wide.
The Portugal international has been used both out wide and through the middle last season but it will be a question of where to play him under Sarri.
