Michigan football secures commitment from three-star Idaho TE Colston Loveland – Detroit Free Press

Michigan football added to its 2022 recruiting class Sunday, reeling in a tight end from Idaho.

Colston Loveland, a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings, announced his commitment on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Loveland, ranked No. 588 in the nation among ’22 recruits, had offers from several Power Five programs — most notably SEC strongholds Alabama, LSU and Auburn.

He is the second tight end to deliver a verbal pledge to the Wolverines in this recruiting cycle. 

Marlin Klein, a three-star prospect from Germany who plays in Georgia, is the other.

Michigan now has 13 commitments in the ’22 class, which is ranked 12th by 247Sports. Six have joined the group since June 19.
