Switzerland vs England: Kick-off time
The Nations League third place play-off will get start at 2pm on Sunday, June 9.
The two sides last met in an international friendly last September when Marcus Rashford scored in England’s 1-0 win at Leicester’s King Power Stadium.
Switzerland vs England: What has been said?
Southgate says he won’t overreact to Thursday’s defeat which saw John Stones and Ross Barkley punished for woeful mistakes in extra-time.
And the England boss insists he is still working towards the ‘bigger picture’ with his side.
Southgate said: “I’ve got to not overreact to those things and I have got to be there to support them in what is a difficult moment for everybody.
“It was tough to take in the end. You get to a semi-final, another semi-final, it should be a positive, but of course everyone leaves even more deflated.
“I can understand that but I have to look at the bigger picture of what the players have given me and the way that they’ve tried incredibly for their country.”
Switzerland vs England: Squads and team news
Southgate plans to ring the changes, with defender Stones’ role under scrutiny.
Manchester City centre-back Stones was culpable for two of the Dutch goals on Thursday, outmuscled by Matthijs De Ligt at a corner and then later robbed by Memphis Depay as he dithered on the ball, while also playing Barkley into trouble ahead of the third.
Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is set to start, having been an unused substitute against the Netherlands.
Harry Kane, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Danny Rose and Dele Alli could all come into the side too.
Switzerland: Sommer, Mvogo, Omlin, Akanji, Benito, Elvedi, Lang, Mbabu, Moubandje, Rodríguez, Schar, Fernandes, Freuler, Shaqiri, Sow, Steffen, Xhaka, Zakaria, Zuber, Okafor, Drmic, Seferovic, Ajeti.
England: Butland, Pickford, Heaton, Walker, Chilwell, Keane, Maguire, Rose, Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Gomez, Delph, Dier, Henderson, Barkley, Alli, Rice, Lingard, Harry Kane, Sancho, Sterling, Wilson, Rashford.
