Tottenham’s leaked 2020/21 third kit shows a striking resemblance to Arsenal’s current away strip.

Leaked images from Footy Headlines say Spurs will play in an all yellow shirt, designed by Nike, with the collar, badge and AIA sponsor a dark blue colour.

The jersey resembles Arsenal’s yellow away shirt, which has been worn by star players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette this season.

The Gunners’ top is a retro inspired one, taking key design concepts from the much-loved ‘bruised banana’ shirt worn between 1991 and 1993.

Spurs have history of wearing yellow kits, especially between 1969 and 1982 when all their away strips were the colour.

However, the outings have been infrequent since then and you have to go all the way back to 1994 to find a predominantly yellow Tottenham away kit; the 1999/00 away strip did feature a yellow body but also included an equal amount of blue.

The north Londoners have utilised yellow third strips since then, however, in 2004/05, 2005/06, 2007/08, 2009/10, and 2014/15 – the most recent season to include a yellow kit.

Other Tottenham 2020/21 kits have also been leaked ahead of the new season, with Nike opting for a bold look with zig-zag stripes for the home shirt and deciding on a particularly questionable grey gradient pattern for the fourth jersey.

Tottenham will be hoping for better luck in their new kits during Jose Mourinho’s first full season in charge.

Spurs are five points behind fourth place Chelsea in the Premier League and face a tricky task overcoming a 1-0 deficit to RB Leipzig in their Champions League round-of-16 second leg tie.

The club’s most realistic chance of a trophy this season comes in the form of the FA Cup, with a fifth-round clash vs Norwich on Wednesday – with full commentary of the match LIVE on talkSPORT 2!

There has been talk of a summer overhaul at Tottenham after their disappointing campaign.

However, that does not appear to be in Mourinho’s plans.

Earlier this week, he said: ”Massive changes? No. Not massive changes.

“First of all because that is not what we think we need. Secondly because of the profile of the club. Third because of what the market is and year after year after year is more difficult.

“So I am not thinking of an overhaul. Of course we need to make our squad better, that is obvious.”
