Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp ‘feels sorry’ for Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after another disappointing display in the Premier League.
The Red Devils drew 0-0 with Wolves at Old Trafford and couldn’t breakdown their opponents stubborn defence, which has continually caused top sides trouble.
Solskjaer’s men only managed five shots on target with four coming from outside the penalty area and, in truth, failing to trouble Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio too much.
Man United’s frontline, without the injured Marcus Rashford, really struggled to get going with Anthony Martial failing to take a shot on goal, despite playing as a striker.
And it’s statistics like this which have Redknapp believing Solskjaer needs to be more ruthless with an underperforming side.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “I looked at Martial and I thought, do you understand what’s at stake here. You’ve got to do more, this is a big opportunity.

“I look at Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and I feel sorry for him, he looks a beaten man. I don’t see any spark.
“I just look at them and think that they need more. A few of them need a kick up the backside, it looks too easy.
“11 wins out of 33 since he took over, they are terrible numbers to have as a manager.”
