The Premier League has paused for it’s second international break – so now is the perfect opportunity to assess which players have dazzled in the campaign so far.
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool and Manchester City have been the standout sides, and many of their stars have delivered superb performances week in, week out.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the early season matches was the form of Norwich striker Teemu Pukki, who had a blistering start to the campaign, netting six goals in his opening five matches.
However, his early form has tailed off in recent matches as the Canaries have struggled to a poor run of results.
So who makes talkSPORT.com’s Team of the Season so far?
Have a look below to find out…
Formation 4-4-2
Goalkeeper: Nick Pope
The Clarets keeper hasn’t put a foot wrong all season and has been a standout performer for Sean Dyche’s side, having picked up the joint-most clean sheets (3) so far.
The 27-year-old has recorded the fifth most saves (26) of any goalkeeper this term and he rightfully earned another call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Defenders: Ricardo Pereira, Lewis Dunk, Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson
Jonny Evans recently raved about Pereira, insisting he was the Leicester’s ‘best player every week’ – and you can understand why.
Prior to the loss to Liverpool at the weekend, the Foxes had the joint-best defence in the division and Pereira has been instrumental in this.
His recent form saw him bag goals against Tottenham and Newcastle and this earned him him a Portugal recall and a Player of the Month nomination.
Dunk is criminally underrated and if he was to play for one of the ‘Big Six’ teams, he would get a lot more credit.
The Brighton defender, as ever, was as solid as a rock against Tottenham on Saturday.
He also carries a huge threat from set-pieces, and despite many pundits tipping the Seagulls to go down, Graham Potter’s men have the joint most clean sheets this season (3) – a lot of that is down to the Englishman.
The fact that Matip is outshining Virgil van Dijk at the moment is an indication of just how well he is playing.
Although Liverpool are not getting as many clean sheets this season, the Cameroon star has been imperious at the back for Klopp’s side.
His performances earned him the Player of the Month award over some other Premier League stars on red-hot form.
Robertson has once again been a menace down the left flank for Liverpool this season and he is proving week in, week out why he is one of the very best full-backs in the world.
Rarely will the Scot put in an under-par performance and what’s more pleasing for Reds fans is that he is brilliant in both attack and defence.
Midfielders: Sadio Mane, James Maddison, Kevin de Bruyne, Mason Mount
Mane has improved this season and he now seems to be delivering the goods every week, with many claiming he is outshining his African counterpart Mohamed Salah.
The Senegal winger’s finishing is on another level this term and that was shown again on the weekend when he delightfully turned home James Milner’s through ball.
De Bruyne has arguably been the Player of the Season so far, notching up a remarkable eight assists already this season.
When fit, he’s unquestionably the best player in the division, seeing passes that no other player in the league can.
Leicester playmaker Maddison is following up his brilliant form from last season with some superb displays, with two goals and two assists recorded already.
The former Coventry man has been central to Brendan Rodgers’ side’s brilliant form this campaign.
Chelsea youngster Mount is having a sublime campaign and netted his fourth goal of the season against Southampton on Sunday.
Not many expected the 20-year-old to adapt to the Premier League this quickly but he is doing so with ease and Blues fans cannot get enough of their academy product.
Strikers: Sergio Aguero, Tammy Abraham
Aguero has been the talisman for City this season and his performances, if anything, are getting better the older he gets.
The 31-year-old has hit eight goals already this season and if he remains fit you’d back him to claim the Golden Boot come May.
Abraham is another Chelsea starlet who has excelled under Frank Lampard.
Just like Aguero, the 22-year-old has bagged eight goals this season and his form doesn’t look like its slowing.
Against Southampton, he once again impressed with his hold up play and his chipped finish was expertly taken.
