Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie will appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court having been charged with drink-driving.
McBurnie, 23, was charged by police in Leeds in the early hours of Friday morning.
His court date is booked for November 6, West Yorkshire Police announced.
A statement read: “A 23-year-old Leeds man will appear before magistrates next month after being charged with a drink driving offence.
“Oliver McBurnie, from Leeds, will appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on November 6 after being charged with driving over the prescribed limit in Leeds in the early hours of Friday, October 18.”
Scotland international McBurnie became Sheffield United’s record signing earlier this year, joining the Blades from Swansea in a £20million deal.
He has scored one goal in 10 appearances for Chris Wilder’s side, and is in a fight to be fit for Monday evening’s clash against Arsenal, having not featured for Scotland during the international break due to injury.
