Lazio vs Celtic: Two men, believed to be Hoops supporters, stabbed by masked men in Rome

Two men have been stabbed in Rome ahead of Celtic’s Europa League tie against Lazio this evening.

The individuals, who are believed to be Hoops supporters, were involved in an incident outside the Flann O’Brien pub, the BBC report.

They are alleged to have been stabbed by a group of masked men, which resulted in their hospitalisation.

Both men are believed to have been stabbed in the leg, and their injuries are not life threatening.

Celtic could book their place in the Europa League knockout stage with a defeat of Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

They currently sit top of Group E, one point clear of second place Cluj, having secured a stunning 2-1 victory over the Italians last time out.
