Veteran promoter Bob Arum claims Kubrat Pulev will end Anthony Joshua’s boxing career in the Brit’s next fight.
AJ won back his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles with a convincing points victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia last weekend.
Pulev, the 38-year-old Bulgarian fighter, is lying in wait as the IBF’s mandatory challenger, although the WBO want Joshua to defend their title against Oleksandr Usyk.
However, Pulev’s promoter Arum fully expects his client to get the next shot at the champion and predicts a devastating outcome.
“Let me let you in on a secret,” the 88-year-old told talkSPORT. “You may agree or disagree.
“But by that time [end of 2020], there ain’t going to be an Anthony Joshua as a top fighter.
“I’ve got a Bulgaria named Pulev who’s going to knock him on his ass in his next fight.
“I think everyone is in agreement that Pulev will be next.”
Arum also promotes for Tyson Fury, who faces a heavily-anticipated rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder on February 22 following their controversial draw last year.
Joshua is yet to mix it with Fury or Wilder, much to the frustration of boxing fans, with the three fighters widely considered the best in the heavyweight division.
But Arum sees no reason why there won’t be an all-British showdown after Fury’s rematch with Wilder.

“As far as I’m concerned, why not,” Arum added. “Tyson Fury is better than any other heavyweight in the world.
“The Joshua fight would be a big fight, after Wilder, but I haven’t spoken to Tyson about it.
“For me, I’d say bring it on!”
