Paul Pogba’s Manchester United comeback has been delayed further as he has been struck down by illness, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed.
The France World Cup winner has not featured for United since a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford on September 30 due to an ankle injury, which he has since had surgery on.
It has resulted in him missing ten successive Premier League matches, as well as United’s entire Europa League campaign to date.
Pogba was given permission to attend his brother Florentin’s wedding in Paris on Friday, but became ill the following day and will now miss United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash at home to Colchester on Wednesday – which is LIVE on talkSPORT!
“Of all things Paul’s struck down ill now,” Solskjaer said. “He’s been off for two or three days – three days probably – so that’s not beneficial.
“That’s probably set him back quite a bit. As I’ve said so many times, Paul’s a top top player that we want to see playing his best football at Man United.

Pogba was recently forced to refute claims he was faking his injury in order to leave Man United when the January transfer window opens.
Spanish radio station COPE claimed the France international was exaggerating the extent of ankle problem in order to force through a move to Real Madrid.
In what appeared to be a direct response to those claims, Pogba uploaded footage of his right ankle in supportive strapping to social media, two weeks after he had his cast removed.
