Leicester suffered a serious blow as Jamie Vardy limped out of the West Ham clash with an apparent hamstring on Wednesday night.

And it could also be bad news for England amid talk of an international comeback for the Foxes forward.

The Three Lions are sweating on the fitness of Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford ahead of Euro 2020 with both strikers ruled out for at least three months.

Vardy retired from England duty in 2018, but Gareth Southgate has not closed the door on a return for the Leicester man, who is currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer.

However, Vardy has now become the latest England option to suffer injury, hobbling off clutching his hamstring against the Hammers, much like Kane did in Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton.

Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham also suffered an injury during the 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday night and Southgate is desperately short of strikers to lead the line for England as they prepare for this summer’s tournament with friendlies against Italy and Denmark in march.

Southampton striker Danny Ings could be called up in light of his recent form, while Southgate may also be tempted by Manchester United teenager Mason Greenwood.
