Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard received a foul-mouthed tirade of abuse from fans after the 3-0 victory at Derby in the FA Cup on Thursday night.
Lingard was targeted outside the team bus by several individuals who hurled a series of insults at the 27-year-old midfielder.
The footage emerged after another abject display from the England international, although that can be no excuse for the behaviour of those responsible.
One man shouted ‘f*** off, Jesse, you’re s***’ over and over again, while another yelled ‘zero goals and zero assists in 2019, you’re dead’.

Lingard has struggled for form in recent seasons, registering no goals or assists during his 20 appearances in the current Premier League campaign.
He has been on the receiving end of unrelenting criticism on social media, and on Thursday night, fans brought those attitudes to the match.
It remains unclear whether the individuals are genuine Manchester United supporters – the Red Devils’ away contingent is usually unwavering in its support of the team.
And most fans seemed to be appalled by the video.
Despite Lingard’s troubles, Manchester United cruised into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Pride Park.
