It was a hard weekend for football fans in England.
On Friday, it was announced the Premier League and EFL would be postponed until April 3 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The disease has infected 162,000 people worldwide, which includes more than 6,000 deaths.
So without any football, what happened in the world of sport over the weekend? talkSPORT.com picks out some of the highlights.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his girlfriend having fun in isolation
Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain and his girlfriend, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, have been making the most of their time at home in self-isolation.
Edwards uploaded a video of the pair dancing to Maggie Lindemann’s Pretty Girl song while making their way up some stairs.
Everyone knew Edwards could dance due to her success with Little Mix, but Oxlade-Chamberlain clearly has moves, too.
Oleksandr Usyk’s impressive training
Usyk is set to fight Dereck Chisora at the O2 Arena on May 23, a boxing match which could be cancelled because of the coronavirus.
And he is preparing for it in a unique way.
In a video uploaded to his Instagram page, Usyk is seen juggling three tennis balls while on a balancing board.
He didn’t seem to break a sweat…
Football Manager has a record amount of players
Football Manager is one of the most popular games for football fans.
But the simulation game reached new heights this weekend, which was most likely thanks to the postponement of football matches around the world.
Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive’s studio director, revealed that close to 90,000 people have been getting their football fix playing the game via Steam – a digital distribution platform for video games.
He said: “#FM20 is currently being played by 84,063 of you via Steam, which is a new record. And likely to go up further today. Thank you for choosing our work to keep you entertained in this time of self-isolation in many countries around the world. Please keep safe everyone x.”
He later revealed that a whopping 89,864 users were playing the game on Sunday afternoon.
Paul Pogba’s generosity
On his 27th birthday on Sunday, Pogba set up a fundraising page to UNICEF in a bid to aid children who have been affected by the coronavirus.
The Manchester United midfielder vowed to double the fund if his goal of £27,000 is raised.
He said: “The impact of a large-scale outbreak, especially on poor and vulnerable children, can be immense.
“It’s my birthday and I’m always grateful that me, my family and friends are healthy. Nonetheless, not everybody is in good health right now.
“The #Coronavirus pandemic is affecting the health and lives of many, including children.
“The impact of a large-scale outbreak, especially on poor and vulnerable children, can be immense.”
He added: “At times like this we need to come together.”

Wayne Rooney’s Big Mac story involving Cristiano Ronaldo
Rooney revealed he once bought Ronaldo a Big Mac burger from McDonald’s in an attempt to help his former Manchester United teammate put on weight.
Ronaldo had a lean figure when he joined United in 2003, and Rooney, who arrived a year later, had an unusual way of helping him gain the pounds – for a footballer anyway.
The ex-England striker told : “With Cristiano, when I first got to United we used to go to games and training together.
“I remember the night before a game stopping off at McDonald’s because he wanted a Big Mac.
“He was trying to put weight on because he was so thin.
“I was driving the car, having to go through the drive-through to get him a Big Mac!”
Premier League clubs’ food bank gesture
With the postponement of football matches in England, a lot of food could have gone to waste.
But not if you were Liverpool, Newcastle, Brighton, Tottenham, Man City or Aston Villa.
With a three-week absence for the Premier League, which could potentially be extended, the Reds donated £40,000 to the North Liverpool Foodbank.
Meanwhile, Newcastle, Brighton, Tottenham, Man City and Aston Villa donated unused food from matchday 30 to various night shelters and soup kitchens.
Cesc Fabregas’ bet with Willy Caballero
Fabregas told a story about a bet he lost to former Chelsea teammate Caballero which ended with the Spaniard buying the goalkeeper a Range Rover.
On Twitter, Fabregas wrote: “So, after a player already told the story to the press of what happened on day in 2018 and many people asked me if it’s true, there we go. Many times for many years after training, I stay a little bit longer to take some penalties.
“I always made little bets with the goalkeepers to put a bit of spice into the challenge. For some reason, I never really missed one. So one day I got too confident and it got out of hand.
“It was Willy Caballero’s turn and I told him that if he saved it I’d get him a Range Rover. Unfortunately for me, he saved it in front of the whole team so u can imagine how it went… I went from feeling most confident, to feeling the most stupid guy on earth.
“Everybody obviously was shouting and laughing that I had to pay my debt. I went to a scrapyard and I found a destroyed Range Rover that couldn’t be used at all for £950 so I said, you know what? I’ll get that.
“The next day they brought to the training ground and well… I’ll show you the rest on a video. The lesson of the story is: Don’t bet at all at any cost.”
