Football is currently on hiatus until at least the start of April due to the coronavirus pandemic affecting dozens of countries across the globe.
There is no guarantee football will resume after that date, either, with the rest of this season in doubt thanks to the unprecedented circumstances.
The Premier League and EFL have postponed all football until at least April 3, with most leagues around Europe doing the same.
Jamie O’Hara suggests the best way to end Premier League season amid coronavirus outbreak – Liverpool should be champions
Dozens of players are either in self-isolation or having to stay inside due to the lockdown in their respective countries.
With their newfound free time, players were getting creative over the weekend as they attempted to overcome the boredom and keep in shape at the same time.
Look below to find out what some of the big-name players have been getting up to over recent days…
Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema
The Real Madrid players were forced into a fortnight of self-isolation following a positive COVID-19 test at their sister basketball club. Spain has also declared a national emergency so it does not look like training will be taking place anytime soon.
Teammates Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema were keeping fit at their respective homes and posted updates on their social media accounts.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
The GOATs were spending their increased free time with their families and they posted on social media along with messages of support to the wider community.
Juventus superstar Ronaldo is currently in Portugal, as his mum recently had a stroke, and he will not be heading back to Italy anytime soon.
If Messi needs to get some practice in he can always enlist the help of his dog, Hulk. (We just wanted another excuse to post this video)
Presnel Kimpembe
The Paris Saint-Germain defender was using the Ligue 1 suspension to brush up on his Call of Duty skills following the release of the new Warzone game.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Liverpool midfielder, along with girlfriend Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, was showing off his moves at home in this Instagram post
Douglas Costa
Juventus’ Douglas Costa was practising his footwork by keeping a ball away from his dog at home.
Lucas Vazquez
Another Real Madrid star was using his time to keep in shape in preparation for when the season returns. He was given a helping hand by his infant son who was copying his workout.
Alexis Sanchez
The Inter forward, on loan from Manchester United, needed no excuse to post a topless photo of himself on Instagram keeping fit. He also shared a video of him playing with his famous dogs, Atom and Humber.
Cesc Fabregas
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder was taking a more relaxed approach to the break and was looking for television box set recommendations.
Dries Mertens
Napoli’s Dries Mertens was keeping in shape with a workout at home with probably the biggest bottle of wine we’ve ever seen.
David Beckham
MLS has been postponed just two games into the season with David Beckham’s new franchise, Inter Miami, not even playing a home game yet.
The former Man United man used the opportunity to show his family around the new team’s stadium.
