Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was held at knifepoint and hit by violent burglars who raided his north-London home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Two males broke into Alli’s property just after midnight while he was playing pool with his girlfriend Ruby Mae and his brother Harry Hickford.
The England star was punched in the face during a scuffle with the thieves, who took various expensive items of jewellery before fleeing.
A long-term friend and Hickford’s partner have also been isolating in Alli’s home – and while shaken, nobody suffered any serious injuries.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 00:35hrs on Wednesday, 13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address Barnet.

“Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing.
“One male occupant of the property, aged in his 20s, suffered a minor facial injury after being assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment.
“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
Alli is expected to return to Tottenham training with the rest of his teammates at the start of next week ahead of the Premier League’s proposed return to action on June 12.
