Goodison Park will host this month’s Merseyside derby when football resumes from its coronavirus suspension next week.
Everton vs Liverpool takes place on the first full gameweek of the restarted campaign, with the Toffees’ famous home to stage the match at 7pm on Sunday, June 21.
And the Reds could win their first top flight title in 30 years should they beat their local rivals, as long as Man City lose their game in hand to Arsenal four days earlier.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had initially feared they could end up winning the league championship more than 200 miles away from Liverpool – in Southampton.
According to The Athletic, Saints’ St Mary’s Stadium was being considered for use as a neutral venue if certain matches – including the Merseyside derby – were not granted the necessary safety certificates.

A safety advisory group met on Wednesday to determine whether the derby would be granted a licence to take place at Goodison Park, and the match was approved for Everton’s home ground.
All of Liverpool and Everton’s remaining home matches will be played at Anfield and Goodison Park respectively following the approval.
The Reds have four home fixtures left before the end of the 2019/20 season while Everton have five to go before the resumed Premier League campaign draws to a close.
