Lifelong Liverpool fan Adebayo Akinfenwa made his presence known at Wycombe training on Friday as he lapped up the Reds’ Premier League title success.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were confirmed as English top-flight champions for the first time in 30 years on Thursday night after Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
And Akinfenwa, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, continued his celebrations into the next day as he turned up for a team meeting wearing a Liverpool shirt.
The 38-year-old posted a video on his Instagram page of him wearing the shirt, with his team-mates laughing around him.
The powerful forward admitted he had no qualms paying a fine for the prank – and had already settled up with manager Gareth Ainsworth!

“I’m happily going to take the fine,” he said in the clip. “I’ve already paid my gaffer, he knows.
“There’s a lot of hate I’m getting today, a lot of hate! But it’s cool, I’ll take it!”
The Chairboys are preparing for the first-leg of their League One play-off semi-final against Joey Barton’s Fleetwood on Friday night.
