As Alan revealed on his Sports Breakfast show, he has fantastic news.
Sitting alongside Arsenal ‘Invincible’ Ray Parlour, Big Al explained he has decided to put pen to paper and write a full, up to date autobiography for us – the talkSPORT listeners.
“I’ve been doing this job over twenty years and there’s plenty gone on,” he said.
“The book is called ‘Only Here For A Visit’ and I’m looking right back from childhood in Glasgow, through my playing and broadcast career.
“There’s been lots of scrapes along the way, and loads of funny stories which I haven’t yet told.”
And those untold gems will be available to read on 29 October in hardback, ebook and audio book.
