Dejan tribute
A nice video tribute to Dejan here from the club.
One thing I always loved about Lovren is his passion. A heart on his sleeve player if ever there was one!
After his goal against Newcastle in December, 2018 (which I think is shown at the end of this video) I’ll never forget him running towards the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand to celebrate.
His family were in a box above where I was sitting and it looked to be an emotional moment for them all. I think it was his mum just leaning over the bar celebrating and crying.
He had tears in his eyes as he celebrated back, you could see what it meant to him and his family. The woman, who I presumed was his mother, stayed their for a while on her own taking in the moment.
That will always stick with me. And of course being in the Main Stand when THAT header against Borussia Dortmund went in.
