Recently relegated Huddersfield Town sent the football world into a frenzy after they unveiled their new home kit earlier in the week.
The Terriers recently signed a sponsorship deal with Paddy Power and the bookmaker’s name featured heavily on the strip.
However, it was met with a negative reaction by fans who didn’t take too kindly to the design – featuring a bold Paddy Power sash – when it was released via social media on Wednesday.
It turned out to be a prank – which came as little surprise considering Paddy Power’s reputation for a such a thing – with the Championship club unveiling their actual strip on Friday.
As part of the #SaveOurShirt campaign, Huddersfield and Paddy Power are backing a return to unbranded football shirts as a way to return kits to the fans.
