Gareth Bale will not leave Real Madrid on loan this summer and is not close to a move, his agent Jonathan Barnett has revealed.
Manager Zinedine Zidane announced over the weekend that he hopes Bale exits Real soon, with the boss expecting him to seal a transfer away from the Bernabeu imminently.

While it has been apparent for some time that Bale is not in Zidane’s plans moving forward, the Wales star has yet to agree a deal to leave the Real.
Barnett says Bale will only depart on his own terms, rather than as part of a ‘makeshift’ deal, and may stay for the duration of his deal, which runs until 2022.
“There will be no makeshift deals to get him out of the club,” Barnett said to Sky Sports.
“Gareth is one of the best players on the planet. I can guarantee you he will not be going on loan to any club.”
He added: “Gareth is a Real Madrid player and for now he’s staying as a Real Madrid player.
“If something comes along that suits us, then things could change and he could be gone in a day or a week. Or he could still be a Real player in three years when his contract ends.”
Bale has won four Champions League titles since joining Real from Tottenham in 2013 for a then-world record £86million, scoring three goals in two finals.
It remains unclear who his next club will be, however, with his current £500,000-a-week salary proving to be a considerable obstacle.
He has been linked with a stunning return to Tottenham, while Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan are reportedly willing to offer him £1million-a-week to move to the Far East.
There has also been talk of a switch to Manchester United, but this would not not be wise according to former England, Manchester City and Leeds United defender Danny Mills.
Speaking on Tuesday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Mills said: “People keep saying he’s got to come back to the Premier League and win something here, and then they’re saying he should sign for Manchester United.
“How long is this contract he’s going to sign? Eight years? When are Manchester United going to win the Champions League or Premier League? It’s not going to be within the next three years is it.
“He currently has three choices on the table…
“One: Stay at Real Madrid for around £500,000-a-week, stay there for three years, fight for his place and maybe not play an awful lot of football.
“Two: Go to China, double his wages for the next three seasons and play for a bit of fun, do whatever he wants to do.
“Or Three: Come back to the Premier League and take at least half [what he’s earning now at Real Madrid]. What, £300,000-a-week? Maybe not even that. What clubs are going to pay that?
“He’s not going to Liverpool or Manchester City, Chelsea can’t sign anybody, he’s certainly not going to go to Tottenham or Arsenal for that sort of money.
“So he’s left with Manchester United, and they are not going to win something in the next three seasons that is significant enough for Gareth Bale.”
