Notre Dame and Stanford had two of the more intriguing and dominant regular seasons in college baseball this year.
Both, especially Notre Dame, had compelling cases. Both were left out as top eights.
The Fighting Irish stormed through Atlantic Coast Conference play at a rapid pace. Know how long it took Link Jarrett’s team to lose a weekend series? It was the second weekend of May to be exact, and at home against a Florida State club that was red-hot at the time.
