I watched tonight’s game at a bar with a buddy, which was one of those small enjoyable things about life that you kinda forgot about over the last year and a half. That the Cubs started winning early and pouring it on a bit certainly added to the enjoyment.
Kyle Hendricks largely cruised tonight as the bats supported him (with an assist from a whacked-by-the-regression-stick John Gant on the other side), and now we can enjoy the three dingers I didn’t get to share while I was imbibing at the bar:

I don’t even care that things got tight enough in the 9th that Craig Kimbrel had to step into the game, because I was already smiling big-time that point. Cubs win again.
