Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Alisson’s injury situation ‘doesn’t look too good’ after he was substituted in the first half of their opening game on Friday night.
The Reds ran out 4-1 winners over Norwich in what was an impressive performance, marred by their goalkeeper’s problem.
Grant Hanley’s own goal got the home side off to a perfect start before Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Divock Origi netted too.
Teemu Pukki got a second-half consolation for City, but the post-match talk soon turned to the man who was replaced by Adrian after slipping as he took a quick free kick.
“The Ali situation is a shadow on the game,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“He thought something hit him in the calf, that’s how it felt, not what happened.
“That’s never a good sign. It is probably more than a strain. It doesn’t look too good.”
