It’s probably pretty surprising for you to see Rose on this list.
What’s tough for Rose is that he already played well against Denver, rushing for 100 yards on 25 carries. But that’s the life of an undrafted free agent, especially one who is in a crowded running back room.
Running backs Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are obvious locks to make the team. That means Rose is competing with Kene Nwangwu and Ameer Abdullah. Even Nwangwu is a fourth-round pick, so it’d be a pretty big surprise if he were cut.
So Rose really has to perform to make the Vikings roster. He likely needs another big game against either the Colts or the Chiefs. And he still might not even make the 53-man roster, but that would put him in a good place to make another team, at least.
