The Eagles plan to add an unfamiliar face to their practice roster this week.
The team is expected to sign Arizona Cardinals wide receiver KeeSean Johnson to the practice squad, according to Inside the Birds’ Adam Caplan. Johnson spent the past two seasons with the Cardinals but was cut on Tuesday.

The Eagle kept just five wide receivers on their active roster on Tuesday, so bulking up on wideout talent on the practice roster makes sense. Johnson will join Travis Fulgham and John Hightower, who re-signed with the team on the practice roster on Wednesday.
While DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Quez Watkins, Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside prepare for the Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, Johnson, Fulgham and Hightower will give the defense scout-team looks in practice.
Johnson, 24, is known for his route-running prowess. Listed as 6-foot-1 and 201 pounds, the Fresno State alum caught 36 passes for 360 yards and a touchdown during his time in Arizona.
The 2019 sixth-round pick has appeared in 18 NFL games (five starts), which is more experience than the majority of the unproven players on the roster. In fact, only Ward and Arcega-Whiteside have played in more games.
With the Eagles going light at wide receiver on the 53-man roster, Johnson could be primed for a quick promotion this season.
The Eagles announced the first 15 members of their practice squad on Wednesday. NBCSports Philadelphia’s John Clark reported that former Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Marvin Wilson plans to sign with the group as well. With Johnson, the Eagles have wrapped up their initial practice roster.
