One night after Red Sox fans relentlessly heckled Alex Rodriguez during the postgame show after Game 3 of the ALCS against the Astros, the rowdy crowd directed their ire toward President Joe Biden.
After Houston beat the Sox, 9-2, on Tuesday to even the series at two games apiece, “F–k Joe Biden” chants broke out from the Boston faithful – and filtered onto the broadcast.
The chant lasted for several seconds as A-Rod and company continued to discuss the game.
After Game 3, the fans harassed Rodriguez with “J-Lo” and “Affleck” chants, referring to A-Rod’s ex Jennifer Lopez, who rekindled her relationship with Ben Affleck after she and Rodriguez broke off their engagement.
It’s also not the first time a “F–k Joe Biden” chant has broken out at a sporting event. It has been a staple of the college football season this year, as well as recently at NASCAR’s Talladega Superspeedway.
