Former Tottenham and Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov ‘f***ing loves’ Arsenal strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners duo scored a combined 50 goals last season and have already netted three times together in 2019/20, as Arsenal have won two and lost one of their three Premier League matches to date.

They will hope to find the back of the net again this weekend when Arsenal host north London rivals Tottenham at the Emirates.

Spurs failed to win either of the two north London derbies in the league last term, though they did triumph at Arsenal’s home in the Carabao Cup.

Incredibly, Tottenham are without a Premier League win at the Emirates in nine years, and based on their shaky form so far this season that will not change on Sunday afternoon.

For Spurs to have any chance of winning the first north London derby of 2019/20 they need to keep Lacazette and Aubameyang quiet – though Berbatov beleives the duo are ‘unbelievable’ and will only get better as they play together more and more.

“I f***ing love Aubameyang and Lacazette,” Berbatov told Betfair. “I like watching them play and their partnership is blossoming. The way they play off each other and the goals they score, their quickness and sharpness is unbelievable.”

Berbatov, who scored 46 goals in a two-year spell at White Hart Lane, has also warned the Premier League about Arsenal, urging their rivals to not underestimate Unai Emery’s side.

“I think nobody should take Arsenal lightly anyway because they are still Arsenal,” he added. “Ok, they haven’t won the Premier League for 15 years, but at some point a time will come when it will be their season.”
