Tony Cascarino argues Mauricio Pochettino has not shown much enthusiasm about the current Premier League season.
The Tottenham manager has faced ongoing speculation about his future.
Last season, he was linked to the Manchester United and Real Madrid jobs before they were filled by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Zinedine Zidane respectively.
“Of all the top six manager’s jobs that are up, he was the one that was slightly bothering me,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“The way he was talking and you felt that the Man United link last year, and Real Madrid, Poch wasn’t talking like a manager who was going ‘do you know what? I’m not interested in anywhere else. I want to be manager of this football club and I’m excited’.
“He didn’t have any enthusiasm about the way he was running the club. We laud Liverpool and we listen to Klopp and Guardiola, there’s a lot of enthusiasm about their football clubs but Poch didn’t give that feeling out.”
Pochettino’s Spurs side take on Arsenal in Sunday’s north London derby.
The Argentinian is looking for his first Premier League victory at the Emirates since taking over at Tottenham in 2014.
