SAN ANTONIO – Ten of the nation’s best prospects are set to announce their college decision during Saturday’s All-American Bowl, which will be broadcasted live nationally on NBC. Kickoff coming at 1 p.m. EST.
Here is the run down.
Pregame
Trevor Etienne, Jennings (La.) High, Running Back
Finalists: Clemson, Florida and LSU.
Prediction: Gators.
If Etienne does opt to play for Billy Napier and his staff he’ll be commit No. 11 for the new Florida regime in the 2022 cycle.
First Quarter
C.J. Williams, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, Wide Receiver
Finalists: UCLA and USC
Prediction: Trojans
This USC class is small, just seven commits heading into the day, but it’s talented boasting an average ranking per commit of 91.25 which sits pound for pound at No. 9 nationally. If Williams jumps in his score of 9679 will increase that mark. The former Notre Dame commit ranks No. 11 nationally at the position and No. 76 overall.
Earnest Greene, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, Offensive Lineman
Finalists, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, USC
Prediction: Bulldogs.
Georgia would creep a bit closer to Alabama for the nation’s No. 2 class if the country’s No. 2 interior offensive lineman chooses the Bulldogs. Offensive line is a big remaining need for Kirby Smart and his staff and Greene would be a massive get as they put the finishing touches on this 2022 haul.
Second Quarter
Davison Igbinosun, Union (NJ) High, Cornerback
Finalists: Kentucky, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Tennessee
Prediction: Rebels
Ole Miss has the country’s No. 25 class and if they’re able to add the former Scarlet Knights commit to the boat they would rise three spots, passing rival Mississippi State in the process.
Rayshon Luke, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, Running back
Finalists: Arizona, Louisville, San Jose State
Prediction: Wildcats
Arizona is sitting on the 247Sports Composite’s No. 23 recruiting class, the highest the program has been ranked in our network’s history. If Luke joins the fold they’ll rise to No. 19, maintaining the No. 2 spot in the Pac 12.
Daniel Martin, Marietta (Ga.) High, Linebacker
Finalists: Florida State, Oregon, Vanderbilt
Prediction: Commodores
Vanderbilt has the 247Sports Composite’s No. 35 class and Martin would be another strong addition as Clark Lea and his staff work on the program’s best class since James Franklin paced the sidelines in Nashville.
Third Quarter
Larry Turner-Gooden, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany
Finalists: Colorado, Maryland, Texas, USC
Prediction: Longhorns
A former Arizona State commit, the Longhorns would love to add Turner-Gooden to a class that ranks No. 5 nationally.
Hero Kanu, Santa Margarita (Calif.) Catholic, Defensive Lineman
Finalists: Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma
Prediction: Buckeyes
Kanu would add to an Ohio State recruiting class ranked No. 4 nationally, with one of the highlights another strong defensive line haul that already includes Kenyatta Jackson, Caden Curry and Omari Abor. The Top247 tabs Kanu as the country’s No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 104 prospect overall.
Fourth Quarter
Cyrus Moss, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, Edge
Finalists: Arizona State, Miami, Oregon and USC
Prediction: Hurricanes
Moss at one time was considered a heavy lean to Oregon, but with Mario Cristobal taking the job at his alma mater in Coral Gables, it allowed the ACC program to get into the picture. An official visit in December along with the long-standing relationship with Cristobal could prove tough to beat. If Miami lands Moss they’ll jump from No. 48 to No. 36 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Kevin Coleman, St. Louis (Mo.) St. Mary’s
Finalists: Florida State, Miami, Oregon and USC
Prediction: Hurricanes
Similar to Moss, Coleman was really vibing with Cristobal when he was in Eugene and now being at Miami is perhaps even better. Coleman sees himself as a missing piece of an offense that has a lot of potential. If he and Moss both pick the Hurricanes, Miami would skyrocket to No. 21. Coleman is the nation’s No. 4 receiver and No. 44 prospect overall.
