The 2022 NFL Draft is shaping up to be all about three teams: the New York Giants, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.
Both the Giants and Jets will have a pair of top-10 picks while the Eagles will have three of the first 19 selections.
Here’s what The Pro Football Network predicted in its latest first-round mock.
Jets
The Jets have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Seattle Seahawks as part of the Jamal Adams trade.
4. Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
Stingley has innate athleticism and the best ball skills at the position in some time.
10. (from Seattle) DeMarvin Leal, DT, Texas A&M
Leal can rush the passer from any alignment and do it incredibly well.
Giants
The Giants have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Chicago Bears as part of the deal which sent Justin Fields to the Windy City and Kadarius Toney to the Big Apple.
5. Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
With the widest range of any defensive back prospect, Hamilton has positional versatility to boot. He can play a variety of positions but has an elite future at free safety.
7. (from Chicago) George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
Karlaftis actually has an array of pass-rush moves at his disposal in addition to his power game. His football intelligence is what sets him apart as he’s a true student of the game.
Eagles
The Eagles are sitting on three first-round picks: their own, plus one from the Miami Dolphins in the DeVonta Smith trade and one from the Indianapolis Colts in the Carson Wentz trade.
15. (from Miami) Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
Dean is as smart as they come and presents a challenge for linemen to even get their hands on him, given his speed. On top of that, he bounces off contact from blockers in space and patrols over the middle in coverage brilliantly.
16. (from Indianapolis) Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
He’s sound in pass protection but excels in the run game, where he routinely finds defenders at all three levels to make highlight-reel blocks on.
19. Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
A torn ACL in the national championship game aside, Jameson Williams is the draft class’ top deep threat this year. … He’s a talented route runner with great hands and elite ball-tracking skills.
