It looked like it was going to be an extremely quiet January transfer window but all of sudden it has burst into life.
Tottenham have spent almost £60million combined on Steven Bergwijn and Giovani Lo Celso, while Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Bruno Fernandes, a deal which could eventually cost them £68m.
You might think those deals would be the end of the boom in moves but with less than 24 hours remaining it appears we could be set for a final furry.
Club chairman are getting their chequebooks out, managers are getting recommendations from their scouts and analysts, and last minute moves may well materialise.
Several players will also be looking to force through switches as they attempt to seal deals to improve their European Championship chances, or just their chances of playing in general.
But which transfers do we think could get done before the 11pm deadline on Friday, January 31? talkSPORT.com takes a look at the contenders.
Dries Mertens (Napoli to Chelsea)
The Blues want another forward of good calibre to help out Tammy Abraham at Stamford Bridge.
A Belgian international, Mertens’ conversion from winger to striker has been impressive in recent years but with just five months remaining on his current deal the Naples side may wish to cash in should the Premier League side bid enough.
Cedric Soares (Southampton to Arsenal)
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is looking for round pegs in round holes right now. The signing of a left-footed centre-back, Pablo Mari, proves so.
Now he’s looking to land a right-back to free Ainsley Maitland-Niles from his role as emergency backup full-back to Hector Bellerin.
Signing Soares on loan is a deal which makes sense for all parties, with the 28-year-old out of contract in the summer.
Olivier Giroud (Chelsea to Manchester United/Tottenham/Inter Milan)
This is going to be a tough one to do given United and Spurs will be the Blues’ rivals for a top four spot until the end of the season.
Financially, though, if Mertens joins, this deal may well get legs late in the day.
United are in need of a striker so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make a late move, while Tottenham need a replacement for the injured Harry Kane.
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled on the handsome Frenchman.
Jarrod Bowen (Hull to Crystal Palace/Newcastle/West Ham)
It’s been a while coming but the Tigers’ highly-rated winger could finally be getting his transfer to a Premier League club.
Prolific, despite his position and role on the pitch, Bowen has previously been linked with Tottenham but Crystal Palace were the first club to firm up their interest on the eve of deadline day.
However, it is West Ham who are now frontrunners to secure the 23-year-old, with the Hammers ready to pay over £20million.
Ianis Hagi (KRC Genk to Rangers)
It’s tough when your father is football legend. Ianis impressed in the summer for Romania’s Under-21s and got a move to Belgium.
He’s now set for a loan switch to the Scottish Premiership giants though, and the club will have a purchase option of around £7m, if reports are to be believed.
Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona to Bayern)
It is fair to say Coutinho’s move from Liverpool to Catalonia two years ago has not paid off. Not only are the Reds European and world champions, they look set to clinch the Premier League title in record-breaking fashion.
Meanwhile, the Brazil international has fallen out of favour at Barca and is currently on laon at Bayern Munich.
In order to fund a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, Coutinho is reportedly going to be sold to the Bavarian side.
