Bowl season: It’s the most wonderful time of the year. And after an amended postseason in 2020, college football is back with a full slate of games across three weeks that will surely have a little something for everyone. The action got started Friday and continues all the way through the College Football Playoff National Championship in the second week of January.
Two games highlighted the college football bowl game slate on Tuesday, beginning with Wyoming’s 52-38 win over Kent State in the Potato Bowl. The Cowboys were led in the win by quarterback Levi Williams, who dominated with his legs to the tune of 200 yards rushing with four touchdowns. In the evening tilt, San Diego State fought its way past Conference USA champion UTSA in the Frisco Bowl. Aztecs quarterback Lucas Johnson threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns, while Jesse Matthews hauled in 11 catches for 175 yards and two scores in the 38-24 win.
