After two days, Patrick Cantlay and Jon Rahm co-lead a rain-delayed first two rounds of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village. Cantlay is in the house, but Rahm has yet to finish up his second round, which he’ll do early on Saturday morning.
Now, anything can happen at a rain-soaked (but quickly-drying) Muirfield Village. Cantlay and Rahm obviously have a ton of staying power, but Scottie Scheffler, Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, Hideki Matsuyama and Viktor Hovland are all in the mix, and a long Saturday should be thrilling as Round 2 concludes and Round 3 gets fired up.
This is a course where golfers can make moves quickly, and an early 64 on Saturday could lead to an out-of-nowhere Sunday champion. That will take a Herculean effort, though, considering who’s fortifying the top of the board right now heading into the weekend after two stop-and-start days of play at this golf course.
